Weight watchers program cookbook by jean nidetch 1973-05-03 - Weight Loss Program, Recipes & Help - Weight Watchers

Speaking of daily and weekly points, your allowance may be different on SmartPoints. The lowest daily points allowance anyone receives is now 30 SPs, so if you were at less than that on PP, your daily points will go up. If your daily points allowance was higher than 30 then it may have changed or stayed the same. The other difference is that your weekly points allowance is now customized based on several factors such as age, gender, height, weight and goal. Rather than everyone receiving 49 weekly points like on PointsPlus, on SmartPoints you could receive 42, 35, 28 or other multiples of 7 (so that you can easily divide them across the days of the week if you choose).

Update: All of my 2015-2012 recipes are updated with SmartPoints! I am continuing to work my way backward and will update here as I finish 2011 and 2010. Thanks again for your patience!

Moving forward any new recipes will include the SmartPoints values as well as the standard nutrition information I offer (calories, fat, saturated fat, carbs, sugar, fiber and protein). As the PointsPlus program will no longer be supported by Weight Watchers I will not have a method of calculating PointsPlus, so those will not be listed on future recipes.

* *Weight Watchers members lost 15% more weight in their first two months following the Beyond The Scale program than those who followed the previous program; comparing Meetings members who weighed in two months after starting the program versus the same time period in the prior year.

Weight Watchers® meetings give you the tools you need to succeed. Your success on the program is enhanced in an environment of group support. Each week in your meeting you’ll hear great strategies from people who are facing the same challenges as you. If you hit a rough patch, you will get support and encouragement to keep going.

There are no forbidden foods on the Weight Watchers food plan. Every food is assigned a SmartPoints™ value based on calories per serving, sugar, saturated fat, and protein content. Weight Watchers takes complex nutritional information and helps members make choices that maximize satisfaction while supporting weight loss progress. Weight Watchers meetings give you an opportunity to learn more about eating good food while making the most of your Daily SmartPoints Target.

A Big Mac has 14 weight watchers points, quarter pounder with cheese 13 and a KFC chicken 9. So what is Weight Watchers Points?

Weight Watchers Points plan is a hugely successful commercial weight loss program that focuses on balanced low fat nutrition, exercise and group counselling. Every item of food has a Weight Watchers points value based on its nutritional content. Dieters are assisted by a Weight Watchers points "calculator" and recipes provided by Weight Watcher Points program. All members are encouraged to attend group discussion and counselling sessions at local Weight Watchers centres to assist with lifestyle changes. The Weight Watchers Points program also provides online support and online points menus and calculators.

Weight Watchers have produced their own line of cuisine which may be purchased independently at most major grocery chains. There is a one-time registration fee and a weekly fee.
